As a servant leader it is key to first seek for feedback, then get it and work on it. Find out who else besides your coach, colleagues or friends can provide you with candid feedback to reflect and adapt.

Getting feedback is essential to first acknowledge there is room for improvement and then finding the right resources to support your improving approach too. Working with a business coach and a learning platform really helps to identify the areas for improvement and getting open and honest feedback helps to identify the areas for improvement as well as possible support and knowledge basis as well as books, potcast`s or kindle readings.

Start writing a journal really helps to improve your writing skills. It doesn´t have to be a book a journal with daily goals, experiences, ideas is really great to get better. Also writing regularly invitations, emails, recognitions and other written exercises helps to improve.

Regularly reading books specialized on topics to improve like the written skills help next to develop your skills with the support of a coach or a learning platform. Reflecting and getting feedback on it is absolute key to being able to improve.

It is absolute necessary as a Leader to review your own skills and regularly develop and train them. especially written abilities are important for any kind of communication to the team, inside the organization and outside to clients as well. I find it very helpful to review this regularly with my coach to get candid feedback and learn how to improve myself with additional learning ressources.

Communication is very important so whatever you do for the client or the stakeholders involved. You need to keep them up to date. Set milestones to be communicated and reached and update them regularly. Dashboards tend to be great as they can also use it as self service points next to quarterly Business reviews. Additional Face to Face meetings are key to build or strengthen the relationship. E-mail updates in between are super important as not every stakeholder has the time to take a phone call but emails ca be read even outside of business hours. A mixture of communication channels is always better than just stick with one or two of them. You`ll easily find out what will work best.
